Tamalyn's Take on the Body Energy Mind Experiment

My name is Tamalyn. About a year ago I decided that I wanted to help inspire and encourage others to follow their dreams. When I sat down to figure out how I would do this I realized I didn't even know who I was or what I wanted in my life.

Through this experiment I hope to find out what it is to be me.

• I am striving for change.
• I am seeking to push my personal boundaries to their very limits and in doing so make great gains in my life.
• I want to give more time, effort, and sweat than I ever thought possible.
• I want to do things that seem impossible to people standing still.

This life is not about existence, it is about pursuit. It is for challenge and movement...and I am up for it!

My mission, my purpose is to take action now, to push my own limits both physically and mentally, and to achieve my goals while encouraging others to do the same.

****Unfortunately many of my goals were cut short due to a major medical setback. On April 7, 2010 I was admitted into the hospital for emergency back surgery. Although I recovered to a large extent I was left with nerve damage to my left leg and foot resulting in a foot drop. My goals to be a part of and compete with the US Sport Jujitsu Team (WCJJO) have been replaced with the goal of maximum recovery from my injury. Though the goals for competition have been updated, the other goals remain. On October 15th 2010 I will adopt new goals and a new 1 year deadline. The BEME Experiment will continue because without action nothing gets accomplished.

I have accomplished the following as of 9/29/2010:

• I earned several new belts in American Tang Soo Do before my injury.
• I co-authored and published  the eBook: The Accountability Project: GET THE #$%! OUT OF THE BOX with Monua Cary.
• I am currently working on the books The Universe Rules and...       The Universe Rules for Kids
• Opened a new company The Accountability Project LLC. Check out the website www.theaccountabilityproj.com

Original goals for October 15, 2009 - October 14, 2010:

• Competing for the US Sport Jujitsu Team (WCJJO) - injured
• Competing in the WCJJO World Championships in Las Vegas, NV (September 2010)  - injured
• Earning my black belt in American Tang Soo Do (my martial arts foundation) - injured, but ongoing
• Writing and publishing the book titled The Universe Rules - in progress
• Writing and publishing the children's book titled The Universe Rules for Kids, with my son - in progress
• Encouraging at least 100,000 people to join The Universe Rules movement - in progress
• Be published in multiple magazines and other publications - in progress
• Be featured on multiple media news and talk shows - in progress

Were these original goals too lofty? NO! There was no way to predict the injury or the outcome and I was sure to fail at accomlishing every one of them if I had not tried at all. Am I dissappointed? yes. Will I give up and quit? hell NO!!

I am still here to prove a very significant and life changing point.

Anything can be accomplished if you believe and take action.

As I continue to pursue these goals I will document my challenges and successes. I will document The Universe Rules I use and how I use them.
